Good historic attraction. Has the additional benefit of walks in the locality and a children's play area by the car park. Toilets also open to use.
Whats not to like a beautiful castle in a fantastic setting. If you do not want to visit the castle you can simple enjoy the park land. Their special days such as medieval reenactment as amazing.
Beautiful castle remains and gardens inside castle walls. Tea room could do with some homemade cakes instead of just packets of 2 Welsh cakes and some proper cups instead of throw away beakers with a tea bag and wooden stick.
Fantastic place. Good walks both within the castle walls and out. Grounds well maintained. Picnic area with seating. Free parking. Playground for little ones. Cafe serving snacks, hot drinks ice creams etc.
